"Mommy Makeover" procedures accounted for the most growth of overall cosmetic plastic surgery procedures in 2006. Women in this category are considered to be in the age range of 20-39.
"In this day and age, women are giving birth later, returning to their careers sooner, and have busier schedules than ever before. Many are finding cosmetic plastic surgery to be the answer to returning to a pre-pregnancy shape they are comfortable with," said ASPS President Roxanne Guy, MD.
More than 325,000 tummy tuck, breast augmentation and breast lift procedures were performed on women in this age range. This is an 11% increase over the previous year.
Dr. Danyo & Dr. Banbury feel that a woman's pre- pregnancy body can be regained though exercise and a healthy diet - however - certain problematic areas can also be addressed using cosmetic surgery. Included in that category would be breast augmentation, breast lift, tummy tuck and/or liposuction.

Dr. Danyo & Dr. Banbury are able to tighten & elongate your neck within minutes.
Tiny drops of Botox injected along the jawline can tighten the neck while sharpening the jawline giving the appearance of an elongated neck.
The injections are administered in the office and patients are able to resume normal activities immediately. The procedure is best suited for women 35 and younger who have looseness in the neck area.

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons cosmetic procedures for the "Baby Boomer" category have found a 12% increase in skin and body lift procedures. What's more is that this age group made up 45% of patients in 2006.
Typical procedures for the 40-54 age category, in order of popularity, thigh lifts, lower body lifts, upper arm lifts and face lifts. Skin looses its elasticity with age and loss of elasticity contributes to sagging skin.
"Baby boomers are experiencing the unavoidable - loss of skin elasticity with age. In thirty year-olds the need for more invasive procedures can be delayed by using injectable fillers and lasers. Not so for treating the loose skin that boomers are experiencing," said Roxanne Guy, MD, ASPS President.
Baby boomers not only want to look younger, they want to feel younger. Studies show that boomers view a new middle age as the sixties resulting from their forties being the new thirties.
