During the short procedure a laser-like device uses controlled bursts of nitrogen plasma. This technique preserves the outer layers of the skin so there is no "raw" wound after the procedure. The initial result is similar to a dry onion peel which lasts only a few days until new healthy skin emerges.
The result is dramatic and usually accomplished with only 1 session. What's more is that a topical numbing cream is all that is necessary for the procedure.
